A fan dimmer (speed controller) is selected taking into account the maximum load current – a mismatch in this parameter can lead to controller overheating or incorrect operation of the entire system.
The general list of ventilation equipment should be coordinated immediately at the controller selection stage to avoid incompatibility between individual system components.
Consulting with a specialist before purchase is especially useful for those who are unsure about the technical specifications of their existing fan – an improperly selected controller may simply not work with a specific equipment model.
